A Solid Wood Bar Stool Built for Serious Commercial Service

The Astrid Solid Wood Bar Stool brings substantial beechwood construction and unmatched finish flexibility to bars, lounges, and hospitality venues. Where many commercial bar stools compromise on either durability (lightweight tubular metal that racks over time) or design flexibility (single finish, single seat option), the Astrid delivers both. The solid beechwood frame gives it the structural weight and stability guests notice the moment they sit down, while nine wood finishes and dozens of upholstery choices let designers specify the exact look their project calls for. For bars, wine bars, gastropubs, hotel lobby bars, and brewpub concepts where the seating is part of the design story, the Astrid is a specification that keeps up with both the design and the daily volume.

Nine Finishes for Any Interior Direction

The Astrid is available in nine standard wood finishes, which is significantly more than the two or three most competitors offer. The range covers every major direction a designer might work in:

  • Natural for light, contemporary interiors and Scandi-inspired bars
  • Light Cherry and Select Cherry for warm, mid-tone reds that pair beautifully with brass and dark greenery
  • Rustic Oak for textured, natural-tone interiors with visible grain character
  • Tobacco and Mahogany for grounded, traditional bar interiors
  • Dark Walnut and Espresso for deep, sophisticated cocktail bars and steakhouses
  • Ebony for high-contrast modern interiors and monochromatic design palettes

That range means designers can spec the Astrid across multiple concepts under one operator's portfolio, or match existing millwork and flooring in a fitout without accepting compromise on either finish or construction.

Full Custom Upholstery Program

Every Astrid ships with a padded upholstered seat, and the upholstery program is where the chair really earns its versatility. Choose from over 30 commercial-grade vinyl colours, including timeless neutrals (Winter White, Sandstone, Taupe, Dove, Ebony), warm mid-tones (Camel, Saddle, Cafe, Mocha, Fawn), rich jewel tones (Burgundy, Claret, Marine, Verde, Majestic, American Beauty), and signature accents (Chili, Denim, Regatta, Violet, Capri). For projects with specific brand palettes, custom fabric matching, or existing upholstered banquettes to coordinate with, the COM (Customer's Own Material) option lets you supply your own fabric or leather and have the seat built to match exactly. That level of customization is typically only available on much more expensive designer bar stools.

Solid Beechwood Built for Daily Bar Service

Beechwood is one of the most durable hardwoods used in commercial contract seating, prized for its strength, density, and ability to hold finishes and joinery under continuous load. The Astrid takes full advantage of those properties with a solid beechwood frame and reinforced joinery designed to resist racking and joint loosening through years of daily bar service. Bar stools take more abuse than dining chairs: guests lean back, slide the stool in and out constantly, sometimes hop up and down repeatedly through an evening. The Astrid's construction is engineered for that kind of continuous stress. Non-marring floor glides protect hardwood, tile, and polished concrete flooring through years of stool-pulling and bar-front turnover.
